AN ANALYSIS OF COMPETENCY COMPONENTS OF TEACHERS FOR COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE LEARNING MANAGEMENT IN MIDDLE SCHOOL

Abstract

This research aims to study competency components and indicators of teachers for computational science learning management in middle school. With document synthesis and 5 experts interview for indicators of teachers for computational science learning management in middle school, then factor analysis of competency components for computational science learning management of 800 teachers in middle school which available by multi-stage random sampling. The research instruments were document synthesis note, structured interview form, and questionnaire. Data analysis by content analysis and exploratory factor analysis. Research result found that: the competency of teachers for computational science learning management in middle school consist of 3 components 40 indicators; 17 indicators in design and organize computational science learning activities, 15 indicators in develop media, innovation, technology and learning resources for computational sciences, and 8 indicators in research for problems solving or learning development in computational sciences.
