DEVELOPMENT ELDERLY QUALITY OF LIFE IN WANG PHLOENG SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, LOPBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

Introduction: This research is mixed method research. Research objectives: To study the quality of life of the elderly, the relationship between personal characteristics and quality of life of the elderly, the causal relationship between factors of elderly welfare provision and quality of life of the elderly of Wang Phleng Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and the guidelines for developing the quality of life of the elderly of Wang Phleng Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The sample group consisted of 380 elderly aged 60 and over living in Wang Phleng Subdistrict Administrative Organization and 8 key informants. Results: The research results found that the quality of life of the elderly of Wang Phleng Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Lopburi Province, is at a high level. Personal characteristics are significantly related to the quality of life of the elderly at a statistical level of 0.05. The provision of welfare for the elderly is significantly related to the quality of life of the elderly at a statistical level of 0.05 in terms of providing advice, problem solving, and welfare for the elderly. As for the guidelines for developing the quality of life of the elderly of Wang Phleng Subdistrict Administrative Organization, it should organize regular health check-ups for the elderly, promote physical health of the elderly, provide an environment that is convenient and safe for life and property, establish a club for the elderly to meet, talk, exchange ideas, and help each other, organize activities to honor the wisdom of the elderly in passing on knowledge to children in the community, and establish a school for the elderly. To receive additional education and skills training and additional careers. Conclusion: Personal characteristics are related to the quality of life of the elderly, according to the research hypothesis 1, and the provision of welfare for the elderly has a cause-and-effect relationship with the quality of life of the elderly, according to the research hypothesis 2.
