THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PEACEFUL COMMUNICATORS AND RECONCULIATION CONSTRUCTION OF THE RELIGION IN CHANTHABURI PROVICE

Abstract

Introduction: The development of interfaith peace communicators using religious teachings still has limitations in terms of network partners. Objective: of this study were: 1) To study the process of peaceful communication among religious leaders in Chanthaburi Province. 2) To develop peace communicators in the context of peaceful religious communication in Chanthaburi Province. 3) To strengthen the network of peaceful communication and foster religious harmony in Chanthaburi Province. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with key informants in the qualified group and experts in peaceful communication. The researcher utilizes purposive sampling, selecting 12 individuals for in-depth interviews and 9 experts for focus group discussions. Results: of the research found that: 1.The peaceful communication process of religious leaders in Chanthaburi province involves promoting teamwork, motivating community members to participate in religious activities within the community, which are fundamental to society. Religious leaders seek common ground, respect cultural differences, communicate with wisdom and mindfulness, aiming to benefit the community and establish peace. They address violence issues according to the principles of reconciliation, emphasizing peaceful conflict resolution and community well-being. 2.In terms of the development of peace communicators in peaceful religious communication in Chanthaburi province, it was found that religious leaders undergo training and self-development. They disseminate religious teachings, engage in public beneficial activities, establish networking for coordination, and participate in mutual assistance for public welfare. Emphasizing the teachings and principles of Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam, they aim to instill peace, love, compassion, unity, and generosity among followers. 3.In terms of Enhancing the network for religious peaceful communication and fostering religious harmony in Chanthaburi province found that: Buddhism: There is a respect for freedom of religion, with temples serving as centers of learning to enhance communication. There are community development voluntary activities aimed at spiritual growth, teaching about the nature of suffering and mental freedom. Christianity: There is an emphasis on community involvement and the importance of love and unity as virtues that unify people in the community. Christianity teaches about love, compassion, and emphasizes peace, which stems from the great love of God. Islam: There is a focus on building a network of peaceful communication by teaching individuals to live a life that chooses only what is good and accepted by society. They practice being morally upright individuals, developing themselves towards having a good personality, being responsible, compassionate, loving, promoting justice, honesty towards others. Their knowledge includes love, compassion, morality, ethics, solidarity, equality, and peace.
