GUIDELINE FOR COMMUNITY-BASED TOURISM DEVELOPMENT TO BE IN LINE WHIT THE EEC IN WAN YAO, KHLUNG District, CHANTHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research. The objective is to propose guidelines for the development of community- based tourism to be in line with Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in Wan Yao, Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province. The research tools were tools interviews and focus group discussion. There are 10 key informants related to community- based tourism in Wan Yao.The research shows that:(1) the community should have a meeting inform members to create understanding and necessity for community- based tourism.(2) explore tourist attractions that can be developed to create activities for tourists to increase their travel experience(3) organizing activities that are the identity of the Wan Yao community or to conserve natural resources in the local area by making it different from other tourist attractions.(4) health benefits processing should be arranged after community- based tourism in order to promote health tourism in another way as well.(5) community and tourist should be monitored and Evaluated in order to develop good tourism in the community further. In addition, from the research, there are 4 tourist attractions : namely, Tourist Point 1, starting at Wan Yao Community Enterprise Group, Tourist Point 2, Moo 4 Bamboo Bridge, Tourist Point 3, Oyster Farm, Cockle Farm, Red Hawk Watching, Tourist Point 4, Mangroves Forest Moo 8 Crab Bank.
