Right to Be Forgotten on the Internet

Abstract
The objective of this study were to study and to analyze study and analyze the criteria and guidelines right to be forgotten on the Internet in case of search engines according to Thai and foreign laws. To study problems and guidelines for the protection of personal data, the right to be forgotten on the Internet in Thailand. to explore the suitable model of protection of the right to be forgotten regarding search engines for Thai community. The study was conducted as qualitative research by analyzing law documents such as textbooks, articles, thesis, court verdicts and online information from local and foreign sources. The study found that the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 does not inclusively and clearly specify the right to be forgotten of the data subject on the internet. The Committee does not announce the rules for exercising rights and exemptions for the right to be forgotten on the internet in terms, explicitly. As a result of this, the right to be forgotten could not be fully exercised. For this reason, it is recommended that to announce the rules for exercising rights and exemptions for the right to be forgotten on the internet in terms by explicitly, covering a secondary law. As a guideline for protecting the right to be forgotten on the Internet in case of appropriate in Thailand. This could be the proper guideline for protection of the right to be forgotten on the internet, especially search engine, in Thailand.
