THE STUDY OF ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIORS ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: EMPIRICAL DATA FROM A COMPANY IN AGRO-PROCESSING INDUSTRIES

Abstract

This research aimed at studying organizational citizenship behavior affecting employees’ performance in agro-processing industry. Samples used in this study were of 400 employees working in companies in agro-processing industry. The sampling method was stratified sampling techniques. Data collection employed questionnaires. Data analysis used frequency, percentage, and standard deviation. Research hypotheses were investigated by structural equation modeling.


Research findings indicated studied model had accepted good-fit-indices: c2 as of 42.26, p-value as of 0.002, c2/df as of 2.224, GFI as of 0.975, AGFI as of 0.953, NFI as of 0.954, CFI as of 0.974, and RMSEA as of 0.055. Hypotheses investigation revealed that organizational citizenship behavior affected employees’ performance in agro-processing industry at the 0.05 statistical significance with predictive power as of 21 percent.
