Information Communication of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Prevention in Temples: Public Relations Media Design for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Prevention for Wat Bor Nguen, Pathum Thani Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the history and activities related to the community around Wat Bo Ngoen. Pathum Thani Province, 2) to study the problems of using the original media for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) prevention of Wat Bor Nguen, 3) to study the needs for designing a new media set for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) prevention of Wat Bor Nguen, and 4) to develop a new set of media as a prototype for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) prevention of Wat Bor Nguen. Research methods consisted of 1) conducting documentary research , 2) participatory observation, and 3) in-depth interview. The research result showed that 1) Wat Bor Nguen has been an ancient temple under the Maha Nikaya Sangha Doctrine, built since 1912 by the community support, 2) the problems of using the original media for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) prevention, since 2020, included the limited media type as well as the unattractive looks of the media; therefore, it did not draw the audiences' attention to protect themselves from COVID-19 disease, 3) the needs for the new media design were focused on the temple's image, the information for self-protection with concise, clear and easy-to-understand aspects , and appropriate size of the media, and 4) the new media development approach was to emphasize on the mentioned needs for the new media design and defining the media template file format suitable for the production of various types of media according to the temple’s needs.
