The objective of this article is to show that creative economy is knowledge and creativity used for creating jobs, income and participation. It also promotes human development, local wisdom strengths for grounded economy, and supports changes in economic environment. Moreover, The creative economy creates opportunities for Thailand to change its economic strategy from taking advantage of competition in the low-cost economy to competition in the creative one. This, in the end, would bring about balanceable and sustainable development.
