Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1) to compare reading ability for understanding of Matthayomsuksa 6 students before and after implementation of STEAM integrated with using Infographic. 2) to explore the students’ opinions toward the reading comprehension lessons using STEAM integrated learning with using Infographic. The sample of this research were thirty students who studies in grade 12 students selected by an intact group from Benchamatheputhit Phetchaburi School, who studied in English Reading-Writing (E33203) during the first semester of the academic year 2022. The instruments used for this research consisted of 1) three lessons plans for reading comprehension 2) a research instrument including one set of pre-posttest of an English reading comprehension proficiency test 3) a questionnaire for surveying students’ opinions toward the instructional materials. The experiment had been conducted for six hours in total. The collected data were analyzed by the t-test statistical analysis in order to compare the students’ reading comprehension skill before and after the experiment. The mean scores and standard deviation of the questionnaire were used to measure the students’ satisfaction toward the materials.

The results of the study revealed that: 1) The students’ reading comprehension skill after studying reading comprehension through STEAM integrated learning with using Infographic were significantly higher than before the experiment at the level 0.05 , and 2) The students’ satisfaction toward reading comprehension lessons using STEAM integrated learning with using Infographic was highly positive.
