A Development of critical writing skills using feedback model approach for 11th grade high school students.

Abstract

The objective of this action research is to study a development of critical writing skill using feedback model approach for the 11th grade students in Pakkred Secondary School. It was conducted during   July – August of the 1st semester in 2019. The researcher used feedback model to develop critical writing skill with 22 sample Grade 11 students. The research findings indicated that, after implementing this model, the average score of students’ writing achievement pre-test and post-test were 9.31 and 11.27 out of 15, respectively, higher from the pre-test by 1.96. Meanwhile, the growth score in percent using Relative Gain Score method (RG) was 34.45, indicating that feedback model approach is able to develop critical writing skills for 11st grade students.
