A synthesis of research on educational leadership conducted by graduate students in educational administration at pibulsongkram rajabhat university

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to 1) analyze characteristics of the research and 2) synthesize knowledge gained from the research conducted by graduate students in Educational Administration at Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University. The population in this research consisted of 17 theses on educational leadership done by the graduate students in 2008-2018. The instruments used in this research were the form to record general information and characteristics of the research and the form to record research findings. The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, and content analysis. The research findings were as follows:
- The general information on the number of the research done by the graduate students on education leadership categorized by the publication years in 2008-2018 was 17. When it was categorized yearly, it was found that the number of the research done in 2014, 2018, 2010, 2015, and 2016 was 17 (70.59%), 2 (11.76%), 1 (5.88%), 1 (5.88%), and 1 (5.88%), respectively. On the characteristics of the research, the most frequent content found was the study on transformational leadership. The most category of the research found was the descriptive research. The random sampling was used in the most research. The concept on transformational leadership made by Bass and Avorio was used as a dependent variable the most. The most instrument used was questionnaires. Mostly, data analysis was done by various statistics in each research, and descriptive statistics were used the most.
- The results of knowledge synthesis in the graduate research on research content were found that there were two important topics, that is, 1) the guidelines for educational leadership development and 2) the relationship of leadership. On research methodology, it was found that the most research were the descriptive research. Mostly, the research were done explanatively and descriptively and statistically, respectively. The tendency on research development was found that most of the research still developed in the original way, but the titles of the theses were changed because the titles of the theses were depended on educational policy in each period and the contexts of economy, society, politics, national transformational leaders.
