University of the Third Age Implication for Lifelong Learning of the Elderly

Abstract
The principal aim of this paper is to address the implication of The University of The Third Age (U3A) in Australia which is lifelong learning area for the elderly. The paper presents the importance of lifelong learning management for the elderly according to the concept of U3A, refers to the beginning of implication in France almost 50 years ago, and now expands around the world. Australia is the country with the highest number of U3A compared to the population. In addition, the paper addresses the approaches of implication in interesting aspects such as volunteer system, self-help management, activity location, budget, member care as well as managing the curriculum according to the needs and interests of its members. There is U3A collaboration to be networks in local level, state level, and national level, which strongly support the operation of U3A around Australia.
