The Development of Local Innovation Management Model in Western Region

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to : 1) to study the conditions of local innovation management of the subdistrict administrative organizations in the western region  2) to study the best practices of local innovation management of the subdistrict administrative organization 3) to develop a model of local innovation management of the subdistrict administrative organization in the western region.


               The findings were as follows: 1) the study of local innovation project found that it was a new initiative. Chief Executive of the SAO is an important person in making decision making / project/ activity initiative. The most important factor local innovation in the SAO is the Leader/Chief Executive. By the reason that the SAO does not have local innovation is found that no innovator/ innovate/ stimulate local innovation. The management of local innovation by the overall level is high.                2) Best practices include: (1) Leaders have high leadership (2) Quality Team work (3) Public participation (4) Network (5) Proactive work process (6) Monitoring and evaluating the project systematically (7) Develop and transfer innovation. Factors to local innovation management include government policies, organizational leaders, organizational culture, personnel competencies, public participation, support from external agencies 3) Local innovation management model consists of input factors, Organizational Leaders, Organizational Culture, Personnel Competencies, Public Participation, Support from external agencies. Processes include Planning, Organizaing, Commanding, Staffing, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluating. The output is local innovation.
