Abstract

The research aimed to: 1) compare the problem solving process of eleventh-grade students before and after learning by using psychomotor skills learning management with the problem solving process and jigsaw technique in culinary arts; and 2) compare the problem solving practice of eleventh-grade students after learning by using psychomotor skills learning management with problem solving process and jigsaw technique in culinary arts with set criteria. The sample group consisted of 18 eleventh-grade students at Rachineeburana School, Mueang District, Nakhon Pathom Province, derived by simple random sampling. The research instruments were: 1) lesson plans, 2) an ability test on problem solving process, and 3) an evaluation form about problem solving practice in culinary arts. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The results showed that: 1) the students’ problem solving process after learning by using psychomotor skills learning management with problem solving process and jigsaw technique in culinary arts was higher than that of before with statistical significance at .05; 2) the student’s problem solving practice in culinary arts after learning by using psychomotor skills learning management with problem solving process and jigsaw technique was higher than the set criteria of 80 %  with statistical significance at .05.
