SATISFACTION ON PERFORMANCE OF TEACHERS AT PRAPARIYATTIDHAMMA GENERAL EDUCATION SCHOOLS IN MINISTRY OF EDUCATION INSPECTION ZONE 6

Abstract

          This research aimed to: 1) study the satisfaction in work performance of teachers at Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Schools in Ministry of Education Inspection Zone 6; and 2) compare the satisfaction in work performance of teachers at Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Schools in the Ministry of Education Inspection Zone 6 between monk teachers and secular teachers. The research sample, derived by proportional stratified random sampling as distributed by schools, was 109 teachers in Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Schools in Ministry of Education Inspection Zone 6. The research instrument was a questionnaire constructed by the researcher with the alpha coefficient of .93. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test.


          The findings of this research were as follows:


  1. Overall and in specific aspect, the satisfaction in work performance of teachers at Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Schools in Ministry of Education Inspection Zone 6 was at a high level. The aspects were, ranked from the highest to the lowest, working condition, nature of work performed, work progress, and recognition respectively.

  2. The comparison of satisfaction in work performance of teachers at Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Schools in Ministry of Education Inspection Zone 6 showed that, overall and in specific aspect, the monk teachers and secular teachers has no significant difference of satisfaction in work performance of teachers in Phrapariyattidhamma General Education Schools in Ministry of Education Inspection Zone 6.
