Abstract

            The purposes of this research were to: 1) study the level of academic management promoting students' thinking skills; 2) compare the levels of academic administration promoting students' thinking skills as classified by informants’ position. The sample was derived by stratified random sampling, including administrators of educational institutions, academic teachers, and teachers under the jurisdiction of the Office of Ratchaburi Primary Educational Service Area 1, totaling 369 persons. The instrument for data collection was a
5-rating scale questionnaire with the reliability of 0.98. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and one-way analysis of variance. When the differences were found, Scheffe method for paired-comparison was used.                    The research results were as follows: 1) overall, the academic administration promoting the thinking skills of students is at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspects of cooperation in academic development with other educational institutions, promotion of academic knowledge to community, and guidance were at the highest level. The aspects of research for quality development; education supervision; media, innovation and technology development; development of quality assurance system within educational institutions; assessment, evaluation and transfer of results; learning resources development; learning process development, and curriculum development in educational institutions were at a high level. 2) Overall and specific aspects, the academic administration promoting thinking skills of students in educational institutions under the jurisdiction the Office of Ratchaburi Educational Service Area 1, classified by informants’ position was found different in all aspects.
