Teaching Methods in English

Abstract

Research is a systematic educational process.It has been, thus, used as development procedure or problem-solving and as a tool to develop the effective teaching and learning. Teaching methods, particularly English Language Teaching, are parts of it and are applicable to the English language pedagogy. The objectives in this article are, therefore, determined to study, analyze, and synthesize the body of knowledge of research on English teaching methods and teaching procedure for English teachers. It can be, thus, concluded that drama performance and game are for listening, simulation and project-based activity are for speaking, SQ4R method and graphic organizer are for reading and CIRC and 4MAT methods are for writing. However, each method has its own specific steps from the beginning to the end of activity.
