The study of learning outcomes of Mathematics Using a cooperativeactivity (Peer Learning) on decimal multiplication for grade 5 students

Abstract

The objectives of the study were 1) to create and develop a series of cooperative teaching activities (Peer Learning) of the 5th year students who study mathematics learning subjects effectively according to the criteria of 80/80. 2) to compare learning achievement of pre-test and post-test  using a set of cooperative teaching activities (Peer Learning) for students in the 5th years. 3) to study students’ satisfaction with a series of collaborative teaching activities (Peer Learning ) of students in grade 5 who studied mathematics.    A sample was selected from 5th grade students, 20 people , Bantaemai school using  Simple Random Sampling. The research tools are 1) the lesson plan 2) activity package. 3) evaluation tools as follows : 3.1) including a test to measure learning achievement. 3.2) observing cooperative behavior of students. 3.3) Assessment of satisfaction with learning management. The data were analyzed by means and standard deviation, t test. Independent sample t-test was used to analyze the data.


The results showed that 


1) the mathematics activity package was effective in the teaching of the fifth grade mathematics teachers, 89.25/83.33. According to the standard, it is 80/80.


2) Comparison of the learning achievement of students in grad 5 using


the teaching materials using the activity set. Mathematics Decimal multiplication matters the 5th grade level after studying was statistically higher than before at the .05 level.


3) The results show that students are satisfied with the teaching package at the highest level of mathematical activities of 4.76.
