Abstract

This article aimed to (1) develop and validate a causal relationship model of purchase intention for crispy fried fish balls on TikTok Shop, and (2) investigate the causal factors influencing consumer purchase intention within the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. A quantitative research design was employed. The sample consisted of 362 consumers residing in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region who had previously purchased crispy fried fish balls via the TikTok Shop platform. Data were analyzed utilizing descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicated that the developed causal model comprised four constructs: social media marketing, awareness, satisfaction, and purchase intention. The model demonstrated excellent goodness-of-fit with the empirical data CMIN/df = 1.134, GFI = 0.965, AGFI = 0.910, SRMR = 0.047, RMSEA = 0.019. Furthermore, path analysis revealed that satisfaction and awareness exerted direct effects on the purchase intention of crispy fried fish balls on the platform. Practically, entrepreneurs in this sector should prioritize customer experience management, particularly by ensuring rapid delivery to preserve product quality and implementing attractive promotional campaigns. This operational focus should be coupled with the creation of distinctive, memorable video content to establish immediate brand recognition upon viewing. Integrating strategies that foster brand awareness through engaging content and ensure satisfactory service delivery serves as a vital mechanism to stimulate consumer repurchase intention.
