Abstract

This article aimed to examine the efficiency of the drug distribution logistics system at ABC Hospital in three main dimensions: timeliness, accuracy, and service quality. The study employed purposive sampling of 262 personnel directly involved in the hospital’s drug distribution process. Data were collected using a validated five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The instrument’s content validity index (IOC) ranged from 0.80 to 1.00, and the overall reliability coefficient (Cronbach’s alpha) was 0.89, indicating high internal consistency. The findings revealed that the overall logistics performance was rated at a high level. Accuracy and service quality emerged as the system’s strengths, whereas timeliness remained the key area requiring improvement. The study highlights the importance of integrating logistics management with information technology to enhance operational efficiency, minimize errors, and improve patient satisfaction. Accordingly, this research proposes a framework for developing hospital logistics systems toward greater modernization and integration across all processes to enhance service quality and achieve sustainable patient satisfaction.
