The Development of a Manual for The Care and Support System for Adolescent Students in Digital Age for Advisor in Chachoengsao Province

Abstract

This article aims to 1) develop a counseling and support system manual for adolescent students in the digital age for advisory teachers in Chachoengsao province, and 2) study the results of using the counseling and support system manual for advisory teachers in Chachoengsao province. The sample group consists of 50 advisory teachers from schools in Chachoengsao Province, selected through a multi-stage random sampling method. The research tools consist of 2 types: 1) a counseling and support system manual for advisory teachers, and 2) a pre-post knowledge assessment questionnaire before and after using the counseling and support system manual for advisory teachers. Data were analyzed using basic statistics, including mean, standard deviation, and t-test analysis.

          The research findings are as follows: 1) The counseling and support system manual for advisory teachers in Chachoengsao province consists of 5 parts, including the problems faced by adolescent students in the digital age, basic counseling knowledge in the digital age, screening techniques for adolescent students in the digital age, counseling skills and techniques for adolescent students in the digital age, and referral and assistance guidelines for adolescent students in the digital age. 2) Advisory teachers expressed the highest satisfaction, with an average score of 4.53. The overall assessment of manual usage was at the highest level, with an average score of 4.50. The post-training knowledge scores had an average of 83.75, and 3) Advisory teachers in Chachoengsao Province had significantly higher knowledge scores in the post-experiment and follow-up phases compared to the pre-experiment phase at the .05 significance level.
