The Effect of Using the SQ4R Learning Management Method on Analytical Reading of Matthayom 5 Students

Abstract
The purpose of this research article to compare the analytical reading ability of Mathayom 5 students before and after studying. With SQ4R learning management, the target group for this research is Mathayom 5 students at Nawamintrachinuthit Satriwitthaya 2 School, Semester 2, Academic Year 2023, totaling 28 people, obtained through the purposive selection method. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a single group pre-test and post-test. The research tools used in the experiment were 3 learning management plans using the SQ4R learning management method, 2 hours per plan, for a total of 6 hours, and 30 4-option analytical reading ability tests. The data collection period was 3 weeks, 2 hours per week, totaling 6 hours. Data were analyzed by averaging. Standard deviation and test the significance of the differences using the t-test dependent. The results of the study found that Students who received learning using the SQ4R teaching method had significantly higher analytical reading ability scores than before learning at the .05 level.
