An Analytical Study of The Faith’s Development of The Buddhists in Thai Society

Abstract

This article aimed three objectives: 1) to study the meaning, importance and types of faith in Buddhism. 2) to study the development of the Buddhist faith in Thai society and 3) to analyze the development of the Buddhist faith in Thai society through a documentary study and then analyze it. The descriptive synthesis of the research revealed that Buddhism has influenced the way of life of Thai people. It is a tool to calm the mind to coexist peacefully. It is a society that has unity, generosity, and faith that has led to traditions and creations of Buddhist artworks that are valuable to Thai society, namely 1) architecture in the form of temples, Chedi and Sanctuaries 2) Sculptures in Figures of sculpture, casting, and carving of Buddha images. 3) Painting in the form of pictures on the walls of the chapel and 4) Literature in the form of prose and poetry.
