Abstract

This research aimed to study (1) the operations of classroom research by teachers in basic educational institutions in Sisaket, Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, Thailand. (2) Compare the operations of the classroom research of the teachers in the Institutions, classified by education level and teaching experience. And (3) study the guidelines for the development of classroom research by teachers in basic educational institutions in the area. Data were collected using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, achieving a reliability score of 0.988. Qualitative data were gathered through structured interviews. Statistical analysis included means, percentages, and standard deviations. The research results found that 1) the operational classroom research of the teachers in the institutions is overall at a high level. Considering each aspect, the area with the highest average score was the survey and problem analysis. 2) The results of comparing the performance of teachers in basic educational institutions across different educational levels showed that neither the overall performance nor any of its aspects was significantly different. Regarding teaching experience, it was found that overall, there were no differences. Considering each aspect, it was found that the survey and problem analysis aspects were significantly different at the .05 level, and 3) the results of the analysis of the target groups revealed guidelines for developing classroom research among teachers in basic educational institutions. It is essential to focus on observing students and collecting data for problem analysis, developing plans, and creating appropriate solutions. These should be tested in the classroom, with results recorded, summarized, and used to continuously refine teaching methods, aiming for sustainable development in student learning.
