Emotion Intelligence of Junior High School Student Siriratwitaya School Under Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

This article aims to study the emotional intelligence of middle school students. Sirirath Wittaya School under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 1. The research instrument was a 4-level rating scale questionnaire with a confidence value of 0.88. Statistics used in data analysis included percentages, means, and standard deviations. Hypotheses were tested using t-test statistics and finding ways to develop the emotional intelligence of middle school students at Sirirath School. The instrument used to collect qualitative research data was semi-structured interviews. (Semi-structured Interview) 3 aspects: good side, talented side, and happy side. The research results found that. 1) Emotional intelligence of middle school students Sirirath Wittaya School, overall, there is a high level of compliance. When considering each side, it was found that the side with the highest average was the good side, followed by the happy side, while the side with the least average was the smart side. 2) Comparative results of the emotional intelligence of middle school students. Sirirath Wittaya School is classified by educational level, overall, there is no difference. 3) The results of the target group analysis found that teachers at the lower secondary level have a guideline for developing students' emotional intelligence, which is to organize a variety of teaching and learning activities. Focusing on the learner as the center, promoting learning outside the classroom, and supporting parental cooperation or organizations outside the educational institution by using various learning resources to organize activities for students are key issues to increase the students’ emotional intelligence.
