Developing an Action Planning Guidance of Pollution Management and Food Security for Eco Community: A case study of Phraya Suren Temple Community, Klong Sam Wa District, Bangkok
Main Article Content
Abstract
The study had three objectives: 1) to study the physical context of community pollution management, 2) to study factors affecting neighborhood climate change, and 3) to study food security models. The tools used include field surveys. Data classification with Geographic Information System, in-depth interviews, target population samples, and 31 informants. The results of the study showed that: 1) Community pollution management: There is still a problem with household garbage. Therefore, the training was used to develop skills in the preparation and operation of ‘Green Cone’ composting bins for 10 households. 2) The community has a 60:40 ratio of built-up area to open space, and two main factors that respond to climate change are urbanization factors and cultural landscape factors, which should adjust the development paradigm to 'sustainable suburban communities' through 'Neighborhood Restoration and Promotion Zone Planning'. ‘Urban Farm’ training was used in 10 volunteer households. 3) For the Food Security Guarantee Model, using ‘Urban Farm’ training in 10 volunteer families, the results are 14 typologies of ‘Urban Farm’, 3 forms of local fisheries, and three strategies of the action plan for the preparation of the "Strong Community Development Plan", and 31 initiatives with a budget of 22 million baht to integrate with 36 partnerships. The research suggests that stakeholders must reorient their development strategies with new concepts in risk management. The research results should be extended to suburban communities around the metropolitan area to limit development within the boundaries of the metropolitan buffer plan. To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals together.
