Factors Affecting Quality of Work Life of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority Bus Drivers

Abstract

This article has the following objectives: (1) to study the quality of working life of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority bus drivers; (2) to study economic factors of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority bus drivers that differentiate the quality of working life; and (3) to study factors that affect the quality of work life of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority drivers. The research is quantitative, using a structured survey questionnaire as the main research instrument for data collection. Descriptive statistics used for data analysis were numbers, percentages, minimum, maximum, mean, and standard deviation, while inferential statistics consisted of an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression at the statistical significance level of 0.05.


The research discovered that: (1) Bangkok Mass Transit Authority bus drivers have the highest level of quality of work life; (2) Bangkok Mass Transit Authority bus drivers with different income adequacy result in a significantly different quality of working life at the 0.05 level. And (3) Employee engagement factors (EEN), general well-being (GWB), work-family relationships Stress at work (HWI), stress at work (SAW), and work environment (WCS) affect the quality of work life of bus drivers of the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority with multiple regression statistics at the statistical significance level. 0.05
