Leadership Traits and Organization Development Affecting the Behavior of Being a Good Member of Employees of a Non-life Insurance Company in Thailand
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research investigates the leadership characteristics, organizational development, and organizational citizenship behaviors of the employees of non-life insurance companies in Thailand. It also explores leadership characteristics and organizational development strategies that influence organizational citizenship behaviors. This mixed-methods exploratory research involved a quantitative study with a sample of 400 employees, team leaders, and managers from the sales teams of non-life insurance companies in Thailand, utilizing questionnaires for data collection. Additionally, the qualitative study included in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with 20 key informants. The results indicated that the overall perception levels towards leadership characteristics and organizational citizenship behaviors were at the highest level. Leadership characteristics and organizational development significantly influenced organizational citizenship behaviors, except duty awareness, which did not affect organizational citizenship behaviors. This study recommends developing leadership training programs focusing on key leadership characteristics to promote leadership development and enhance organizational citizenship behaviors.
