Thai Investments in Cambodia: Rules and Considerations

Abstract
In this research investigation, the researchers use secondary data to study the rules and considerations related to investments in Cambodia. The first part is a study of the foreign investment promotions of Cambodia consisting of investment incentives, investment collaterals, the benefits of special economic zones, trade, investment dispute resolutions, and tax systems. The second part is a study of the considerations prior to an investment in Cambodia consisting of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and potential threats which will benefit Thai entrepreneurs investing in Cambodia. Recommendations are provided for the entrepreneurs considering investments in Cambodia to find alliances that have a good relationship with the Cambodian government. Investors should invest either in industries utilizing Cambodia's existing abundant natural resources or in labor-intensive industries. Investments should be located in the special economic zones with good investment potentials. This research provides good, accurate guidelines for entrepreneurs who want to invest in Cambodia.
