The Relationship Between Happiness in the Workplace and Performance Efficiency of Personnel at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, the Ministry of Education (Central) in Bangkok Metropolis

Abstract
In this research investigation, the researchers investigate the relationship between happiness in the workplace and performance efficiency of personnel under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, the Ministry of Education (Central) in Bangkok Metropolis. The sample population consisted of 360 personnel. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The techniques of t test, F-test (One-way ANOVA), Scheffé’s multiple comparison, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient were also employed.
Findings showed that the level of happiness in the workplace overall was at a high level with the mean of 3.86. The level of performance efficiency of the personnel under study overall was at a high level with the mean of 3.99. The relationship between happiness in the workplace and performance efficiency of the personnel under investigation correlated at a very high level with the mean of correlation being 0.082.
