The Influence of Perceived Organizational Support, Supervisor Support and Colleagues Support on the Organization Citizenship Behavior: A Case Study of Cho Thavee Public Company Limited

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of perceived organizational support (POS), perceived supervisors support (PSS) and perceived colleagues support (PCS) to the organization citizenship behavior. This study was designed to use quantitative methods. A questionnaire was launched to collect the data from 210 company's employees of CHO THAVEE Public Company Limited (Thailand) as a research sampling. The statistics used in data analysis were means, standard deviations, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The survey results show that organizational support, supervisors’ support and colleagues’ support have a positive influence on the job satisfaction at the rate of 18.5, 13 and 33.7 percent, respectively. The satisfaction has a positive influence on the organization citizenship behavior at the rate of 39.6 percent. Affective commitment has a positive influence on the relationship between job satisfaction and the organization citizenship behavior at the rate of 38.7 percent. CHO THAVEE Public Company Limited can use the results as a guide to determine the course of action in terms of plans, policies, and changes in order to access and understand the basic needs of its employees. This will eventually lead to increased job satisfaction with their work and positive organization citizenship behavior.
