The Development patterns of “Glong Yao Performing” in Mahasarakham Province

Abstract

This article is written from research “The Development patterns of “GlongYao Performing” in Mahasarakham Province”. Funded by the Academic Research Division; The Thailand Research Fund for the year 2015. It was done with qualitative research and ethnomusicology studies. The aims were 1) to analyze the pattern of drum performances in Mahasarakham and 2)to find ideas on how to develop patterns of a “Glong Yao” in Mahasarakham province. Using data collected from the field work,Artists and professionals.Use a descriptive analysis showed the following.


The patterns of “GlongYao Performing” in Mahasarakham Province includes three models: 1. original form, 2. Application form. And 3. The patterns for the tournament.


And aDevelopment of the concept of the show is. The original forms should be preserved, The application forms and the pattern for the competition can be developed in every element of the performing. Having regard to the fun, beautiful and unison of performances and the suitability of the place and occasion. And focuses on the concept of the performing is important for the pattern for the competition.
