การระบุตัวตนของศพผู้เสียชีวิตด้วยภาพถ่ายลักษณะสัณฐานวิทยาบนใบหน้า: กรณีศึกษาเหตุการณ์เรือหลวงสุโขทัยอับปางกลางทะเลอ่าวไทย

บทคัดย่อ
เหตุการณ์เรือหลวงสุโขทัยอับปางกลางทะเลอ่าวไทยในพื้นที่จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เมื่อธันวาคม 2565 ส่งผลให้ทหารเรือและเจ้าหน้าที่ร่วมเดินทางที่ออกจากฐานทัพเรือสัตหีบเสียชีวิตและสูญหาย การตรวจพิสูจน์เอกลักษณ์ผู้เสียชีวิตดำเนินการโดยสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ โดยมีการจัดตั้งศูนย์ปฏิบัติการส่วนหน้า สถาบันนิติเวชวิทยา โรงพยาบาลตำรวจ จัดทีมแพทย์และเจ้าหน้าที่ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการตรวจพิสูจน์เอกลักษณ์บุคคล รวมถึงช่างภาพการแพทย์เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชุดปฏิบัติการ การภาพถ่ายการปฏิบัติการตรวจพิสูจน์เอกลักษณ์บุคคล ถูกนำมาใช้ในการระบุตัวตน ทางนิติวิทยาศาสตร์จากศพผู้เสียชีวิต โดยสามารถระบุชื่อได้ทั้งหมด 24 ราย คงเหลือผู้ที่ยังสูญหาย 5 ราย การถ่ายภาพร่างผู้เสียชีวิตตามแนวทางการตรวจพิสูจน์เอกลักษณ์บุคคลอาศัยรายละเอียดสัณฐานวิทยาบนใบหน้า ที่แสดงภาพหน้าตรง ภาพใบหน้าด้านข้าง แสดงลักษณะของใบหู ภาพถ่ายครึ่งตัว เต็มตัวทั้งสองด้าน ด้านหลัง ของศพรวมถึง ฝ่ามือ ฝ่าเท้า บาดแผล เอกลักษณ์บุคคล ในช่องปาก ทันตกรรมพิเศษ ภาพวัสดุอุดฟัน การจัดฟัน ตำหนิรูปพรรณภายนอก รอยสัก รอยแผลเป็น ไฝ ปาน ร่องรอยความพิการ เสื้อผ้าที่เป็นเครื่องแบบเฉพาะโดยมีชื่อติดอยู่ สิ่งของเครื่องประดับ เอกสารที่ติดมากับศพ เป็นส่วนสำคัญในการช่วยระบุตัวตนจากศพผู้เสียชีวิต ร่างผู้เสียชีวิตได้รับการระบุตัวตน และส่งกลับคืนสู่ครอบครัว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การยืนยันตัวบุคคลร่วมกับกับญาติหรือคนรู้จักของผู้เสียชีวิต ร่วมกับเอกสารทางราชการ ที่มีรูปถ่ายและข้อมูลของผู้เสียชีวิตระบุไว้เป็นที่เรียบร้อย ร่วมกับการตรวจพิสูจน์ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ได้แก่ การตรวจลายพิมพ์นิ้วมือ การตรวจทางทันตกรรม และการตรวจสารพันธุกรรม ส่งผลให้การระบุยืนยันอัตลักษณ์เป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
