บทคัดย่อ

       การวิจัยเรื่องกรรมวิธีการสร้างกลองปูจาของครูญาณ สองเมืองแก่น มุ่งศึกษาบริบทของกลองปูจา ประวัติชีวิตครูญาณ สองเมืองแก่น และกรรมวิธีการสร้างกลองปูจาของครูญาณ สองเมืองแก่น โดยทำการลงพื้นที่เก็บข้อมูล ค้นคว้าเอกสารงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง และวิเคราะห์เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ผลการวิจัยพบว่าชาวจังหวัดน่านเชื่อว่ากลองปูจาเป็นของสูง มีพิธีกรรมเกี่ยวกับกลองปูจา ได้แก่ พิธีไหว้ครู พิธีอันเชิญกลอง เพื่อความศักดิ์สิทธิ์เป็นสิริมงคลและสร้างความสามัคคี ครูญาณ สองเมืองแก่น ได้รับการยอมรับว่าเป็นปราชญ์ด้านงานช่างสร้างกลองและศิลปะแขนงต่าง ๆ ของจังหวัดน่าน และได้รับการเชิดชูเกียรติเป็นครูศิลป์แห่งแผ่นดินเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2558 กรรมวิธีการสร้างกลองปูจาของครูญาณ สองเมืองแก่น จะใช้วิธีแบบโบราณ เริ่มจากกำหนดฤกษ์วันหุ้มกลอง ขนาดกลองและหน้ากลองตามโฉลกที่เป็นมงคล ขุดเจาะด้วยเหล็กเซาะและแต่งผิวกลองด้วยกบ นำหนังวัวมาหุ้มเป็นหน้ากลองแล้วขึงด้วยวิธีขันชะเนาะ เจาะรูบริเวณปากกลองแล้วใช้สลักไม้ไผ่ซางที่เหลาเตรียมไว้ตอกไว้รอบตัวกลองแล้วจึงตกแต่งชายหนังด้วยหวายหรืออลูมิเนียม ภายในจะบรรจุหัวใจกลองที่ลงอักขระคาถาเมตตามหานิยม พระสงฆ์และชาวบ้านให้การยอมรับว่ากลองปูจาที่สร้างหรือหุ้มกลองโดยครูญาณ มีเอกลักษณ์ที่โดดเด่นคือ สลักกลองไม้ไผ่ซางที่เหลาด้วยมือไม่ใช้การกลึง การตัดชายหนังหุ้มปลอกกลองด้วยหวายหรืออลูมิเนียมอย่างสวยงาม การขึงหน้ากลองด้วยวิธีขันชะเนาะ มีการประกอบพิธีบรรจุหัวใจกลองลงอักขระคาถาไว้ ทำให้กลองมีคุณภาพทั้งเสียง รูปลักษณ์ ความคงทนของหน้ากลองและมีความศักดิ์สิทธิ์

Abstract

       The research “Process of Klong Puja Making by Master Yan Songmuaengkaen” aims to study the context of Puja Drum, the biography of Yan Songmuaengkaen and the process of Making Puja Drum. Fieldwork was conducted in Nan province 2016 as well as document research and interview with informants. The research findings show that the population of Nan has a belief that Puja Drum is sacred and worshipful. There are certain rituals related to Puja Drum including Master Worshiping Ceremony and Inviting Ceremony for holiness, blessing and harmony amongst villagers. Yan Songmuaengkaen is recognized amongst people in Nan as an artist and drum maker with local wisdom savant specializing in drum making, craftmanships, and rituals of Nan Province. He is also honored as the teacher of national arts in 2015. The making process of Yan Songmuaengkaen’s Puja Drum uses the ancient process. It starts by determining an auspicious day for drum wrapping and the propitious size of the drum. The drum will be gouged by end mill and finished with planer. Leather will be put to wrap the drumhead and stretched by wrenching. Drum rim will be drilled to make holes and hammered with bamboo bolts, then decorated with rattan or aluminum. The drum contains its heart which is spelled by incantations. Monks and villagers accept that Yan’s Puja drum is unique because of the bamboo bolts sharpened by hand, not lathe. The drum rim is covered with rattan or aluminum exquisitely. The drumhead is wrapped and stretched by wrenching and there is a ceremony to contain the heart of the drum. All of these processes make the good quality of the drum in its sound, appearance, durability and sacredness.

There are some rituals related to Puja Drum including Master Worship Ceremony and Drum Respectfully Inviting Ceremony for holiness, blessedness and harmony amongst villagers. Yan Songmuaengkaen is recognized amongst people in Nan as a savant specializing in drum production and arts of Nan Province. He is also honored as the teacher of national arts in 2015. The production of Yan Songmuaengkaen’s Puja Drum uses the ancient process. It starts by determining an auspicious day for drum wrapping finish and the propitious size of the drum.
