วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมาและการจัดการแสดงโขนวิเคราะห์หลักการ แนวคิด และวิธีการจัดการแสดงโขนสำหรับเผยแพร่ของสำนักการสังคีตกรมศิลปากร กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม ณ ประเทศฝรั่งเศส พ.ศ. 2549ดำเนินการวิจัยโดยศึกษารวบรวมข้อมูลและค้นคว้าจากเอกสาร ตำราทางวิชาการ สูจิบัตรการแสดง ฯลฯ และการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ที่มีความรู้ทางด้านการเผยแพร่นาฏยศิลป์ไทยในต่างประเทศ คณะผู้ทำงานการเผยแพร่การแสดงโขน ณ ประเทศฝรั่งเศส พ.ศ. 2549

การวิเคราะห์หลักการและแนวคิดในการจัดการแสดงโขนของสำนักการสังคีต เนื่องในโอกาส 320 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ไทย-ฝรั่งเศส ณ ประเทศฝรั่งเศส พ.ศ. 2549 พบว่าเป็นการแสดงโขนในลักษณะและรูปแบบที่เป็นมิติใหม่ มีการศึกษา สังเกต และเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์ในอดีตเพื่อนำจุดอ่อนมาปรับปรุงแก้ไขหลักการและแนวคิดในการจัดการแสดงโขนสำคัญ ๆ ในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ 1) จัดการแสดงโขนเรื่อง รามเกียรติ์ ตอนนางลอย ซึ่งเป็นตอนที่แสดงเฉพาะในประเทศไทย นำเสนอการแสดงในนามของ “การแสดงละครใบ้และโขน” 2) จัดให้มีการเล่นในโรงละครอย่างสมเกียรติเหมาะสมกับมหรสพประจำชาติไทย 3) คัดเลือกผู้แสดงที่มีฝีมือและเชี่ยวชาญทางนาฏยศิลป์ไทย 4) จัดทำฉากประกอบการแสดง แสง สี เพื่อเพิ่มอรรถรสในการรับชม 5) จัดจ้างทีมงานคุณภาพที่มีประสบการณ์ด้านเทคนิคการแสดงเพื่อออกแบบแสงสีประกอบฉากและการแสดง 6) การจัดทำสูจิบัตรการแสดงอย่างมีคุณภาพและได้มาตรฐานสากล 7) จัดรายการสาธิตโขน เป็นการจัดการเผยแพร่ความรู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับนาฏยศิลป์ไทย 8)เสริมการแสดงหน้าม่าน เพื่อให้เห็นขั้นตอนการเตรียมการแสดงโขน

Abstract

This thesis examines the background and the organization of the Khon performance and, specifically analyzes the concept, principles and the method of organizing the Khon performance for the public in France in 2006 by the Office of Performing Arts at the Department of Fine Arts in the Ministry of Culture. The research was conducted by collecting and studying information in document, academic texts, programmes of performances, as well by interviewing those knowledgeable in publicizing Thai performing arts abroad and members of the organizing committee of the Khon performance in France in 2006.

This analysis of the concept and principles in organizing the Khon performance by the Office of Performing Arts in celebration of the 320^th anniversary of Thai-French relations in France in 2006 found that characteristics and form of the Khon performance were presented in a new perspective. Lessons from the study and observation of past experiences were applied to improve and correct weaknesses in the concept and principles of this important Khon performance in the following ways: 1) The Khon performance of Ramakien, the Nang Loy episode, was presented. This episode is traditionally performed in Thailand only and on this occasion it took the form of “a pantomime and a Khon performance,” 2) The performance took place in a theatre as is appropriate for a highly esteemed Thai national entertainment, 3) The performers were selected from experts in Thai performing arts, 4) Stage scenery was built to accompany the light and sound presentation in order to enhance the audience’s enjoyment of the show, 5) A quality team, which was well experienced in performing techniques, was hired to design both light and sound for the stage scenery and the performance, 6) Quality and high standard programmes for the performance were published, 7) A Khon performance demonstration was organized to disseminate information about Thai performing arts, 8) As well as the stage performance, an additional exhibition was mounted to show the different stages in the preparation of the Khon performance.
