สถานภาพของนักดนตรีปี่มวยในสนามมวยลุมพินี

บทคัดย่อ

            งานวิจัยเรื่องสถานภาพของนักดนตรีปี่มวยในสนามมวยลุมพินี มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมาของนักดนตรีปี่มวยสนามมวยลุมพินี รวมถึงบทบาทความสำคัญและสถานภาพของนักดนตรีปี่มวยที่สนามมวยลุมพินีในปีพ.ศ. 2499 ถึง พ.ศ.2557  สถานภาพของนักดนตรีปี่มวยลุมพินีจำแนกได้เป็น 2 ช่วงคือ ช่วง พ.ศ. 2499 ถึง พ.ศ. 2535 นักดนตรีปี่มวยของสนามมวยลุมพินี มีสถานะเป็นข้าราชการของกองดุริยางค์ทหารบก ช่วง พ.ศ. 2536 ถึง พ.ศ.2557 กองดุริยางค์ทหารบกขาดแคลนผู้มีความสามารถในการเป่าปี่มวย จึงรับนักดนตรีปี่มวยพลเรือนเข้ามาทำหน้าที่นักดนตรีปี่มวยสนามมวยลุมพินีนับแต่นั้น

            กลวิธีในการบรรเลงของวงดนตรีปี่มวยสนามมวยลุมพินี ส่วนมากแบบแผนในการบรรเลงจะเป็นสิ่งที่นักดนตรีปี่มวยปฏิบัติสืบทอดกันมาจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น ส่วนการคัดเลือกเพลงเป็นการคัดเลือกตามแบบแผนส่วนหนึ่ง และตามไหวพริบปฏิภาณของผู้ที่เป็นนักดนตรีปี่มวยอีกส่วนหนึ่ง ทั้งนี้อาจมีเซียนมวยหรือโปรโมเตอร์ขอให้บรรเลงเพลงที่ได้รับความนิยมตามยุคสมัยในบางครั้ง

            นักดนตรีปี่มวยสนามมวยลุมพินี เป็นนักดนตรีที่ได้รับการยกย่องจากวงวิชาชีพดนตรีว่ามีฝีมือความสามารถ และสืบทอดแบบแผนการบรรเลงปี่มวยตามขนบ จึงมีบทบาทเป็นที่ยอมรับถึงปัจจุบัน เห็นได้จากการได้รับเชิญให้ไปปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในสถานที่จัดการแข่งขันมวยไทยต่างๆ อยู่เสมอ

Abstract

            The main purpose of this Research called “the Status of Pee Muay Musicians in Lumpini Boxing Stadium” is to study background and history of Pee Muay musicians in Lumpini Boxing Stadium, as well as their important roles and status from 1956 to 2014 The work status of Pee Muay musicians in Lumpini Boxing Stadium can be categorized into two main periods. During the period from 1956 to 1992 their work status or career is governmental officials of the Royal Thai Army Band. During the period from 1993 to 2014 the Royal Thai Army Band lacked potential musicians who could perform Pee Muay, the significant change happened. Civilians who can play Pee Muay have been recruited as Pee Muay musicians in Lumpini Boxing Stadium since then.

            Regarding techniques and tactics of Pee Muay Band performance in Lumpini Boxing Stadium, Pee Muay musicians have passed on their knowledge from generation to generation and it is mainly traditional styles. Screen a song, musicians combine both Thai music tradition and their personal sagacity or intelligence. Moreover, there might be a case that Pee Muay musicians are requested some fashionable popular songs by boxing promoters and boxing experts.

            Pee Muay musicians in Lumpini Boxing Stadium have been normally respected and admired of their proficient and skillful talents by the music profession. They have also inherited Pee Muay traditional patterns and styles. Therefore, we can recognize that Pee Muay musicians in Lumpini Boxing Stadium have been invited to perform in lots of the high standard boxing matches and have played the important role in the society up till now.
