PAINTINGS FOR RECORDING MOMENTS AND BEAUTY OF SCENERIES OF PHETCHABUN PROVINCE

Abstract

          This research project is the presentation of paintings that capture the moments and beauty of sceneries in Phetchabun Province, with the objectives as follows: 1) to record the moments and beauty of sceneries in Phetchabun Province through aestheticism from paintings; 2) to study on and analyze visual elements and techniques used in the paintings; and 3) to build body of knowledge relating to techniques for creating painting works to capture the moments and beauty of sceneries in Phetchabun Province. The final works are 50 paintings on canvas, the size of each of which is 25 x 35 cm2. The works can be divided into 5 sets, as follows: Set 1 works show the stories between moments and places, Set 2 works express the moment from sun dawn to the afternoon, Set 3 works show the moment in the evening, Set 4 works depict the moment at the twilight, and works in Set 5 emphasize on the moments when the sky has unusual colors. The expression in each piece of work is different from one another by dint of feelings, color tones and technique that I, the creator of works or artist, used due to my perception of the ambience of each particular space at that time. Most of the time, the creation process is semi–abstract, with warm color tone used. The coloring technique is brush stroke painted with trowel in order to better create dimensions and feelings through the painted surfaces than to paint with brushes. The works in this research project reflect the values of paintings that capture the beauty of colors of the sky in different moments and beautiful sceneries of Phetchabun Province.
