Abstract

Teochew families in Thailand especially like having congee, "Mi" ("Congee" in Teochew dialectics called "Mi").It could be said that it is long-term eating habits, having “Mi”, for Teochew people of Thailand, since ancient times, often having "Mi" as a staple food, having it with side dishes and pickles, in the morning, then going out to work or study. There are so many porridge shops and street vendors are selling "Mi", everywhere in Thailand day and night. Nowadays, Teochew "Mi" has become an indispensable diet culture in Thai people's daily life.
