Abstract

Based on the theory of context, this paper takes translation versions of Zhu Family Instructions from Guo Zhuzhuang and Zhang Xiangtong as examples. This paper expounds the relationship between the translator's subjectivity and the theory of context, illustrates that the process of translation is the cognitive process of the translator, and analyzes the exertion of the translator's subjectivity in specific words, sentence patterns and choices between poetry and essay in the process of translation. This paper tries to highlight translator’s subjectivity on the translation of Chinese children’s primers through the analysis of the above aspects. It may have certain guiding significance for the translator to take the correct strategy in the translation process.
