Efficiency of Warehouse Management During the Thai Cambodian Crisis in 2025, a Case Study of a Logistics Unit of an Army

Abstract

This study aimed to (1) examine the level of warehouse management efficiency during the Thai Cambodian crisis in 2025 within a logistics support unit of a military organization, 2) compare warehouse management efficiency based on personal factors, and 3) analyze the influence of personal factors on warehouse management efficiency during the crisis. The sample consisted of 185 personnel from a logistics support unit of a military organization. Data was collected through an online questionnaire and a simple probability sampling method. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, tests of difference, and multiple linear regression analysis. Research results. The overall level of warehouse management efficiency during the Thai Cambodian crisis was high (  = 3.59, S.D. = 0.907). Among the dimensions examined, warehouse operations showed the highest mean score, followed by safety and continuity, and coordination and communication, whereas information systems and visibility had the lowest mean score. The hypothesis testing revealed statistically significant differences in warehouse management efficiency across personal factors including crisis work experience, age, main job position, warehouse-related experience, and type of main equipment involved, at the .05 level. Furthermore, the multiple linear regression analysis demonstrated that crisis work experience, age, main job position, unit type, warehouse-related experience, and the type of crisis most frequently encountered significantly influenced warehouse management efficiency. The results suggest that improving warehouse management efficiency in crisis situations requires greater emphasis on personnel capability development, systematic inventory management, and enhanced information systems.
