ความต้องการพัฒนาภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ ในชุมชนเดิมบางนางบวช จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) สำรวจความต้องการพัฒนาภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเดิมบางนางบวช จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี และ 2) เป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรมภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเดิมบางนางบวช จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสม กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นกลุ่มผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเดิมบางนางบวช จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี จำนวน 21 คน ที่ได้จากการเลือกแบบเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูล คือ 1) แบบสอบถาม 2) การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก และ 3) การสนทนากลุ่มย่อย วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงปริมาณด้วยสถิติพรรณนา ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ความถี่ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ส่วนการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพโดยการวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นเกษตรกร ค้าขาย แม่บ้าน ข้าราชการบำนาญ นักบวช และรับจ้างทั่วไป มีความต้องการในการเข้าร่วมการฝึกอบรมภาษาอังกฤษ 4 ทักษะ คือ ฟัง พูด อ่าน และเขียน ทั้งในและนอกสถานที่ในสถานการณ์จริง เพื่อนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการประกอบอาชีพได้จริง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งด้านการฟังและการพูดเกี่ยวกับการทักทาย การแนะนำสินค้าและบริการ การแนะนำสถานที่ การสอบถามและตอบคำถามนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ 2) แนวทางในการพัฒนาหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรมภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเดิมบางนางบวช ควรพัฒนาให้สอดคล้องตามข้อมูลพื้นฐานของผู้เรียนและความต้องการของผู้เรียนเป็นหลัก โดยเฉพาะในด้านรูปแบบการฝึกอบรม หัวข้อบทสนทนา เนื้อหา ทักษะที่ต้องการพัฒนา กิจกรรมภาษาอังกฤษและวิธีการสอนของผู้สอน
