บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาการให้ความหมายและที่มาของความหมายอัตลักษณ์ของนิสิตสาขาวิชาพลศึกษา คณะพลศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ และ 2) ศึกษาการดำรงอัตลักษณ์ของนิสิตสาขาวิชาพลศึกษา คณะพลศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ การสร้างทฤษฎีฐานราก เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์
ระดับลึกการสังเกตและจดบันทึก การวิเคราะห์เอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยวิธีแปลความและตีความข้อมูล ผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก คือ นิสิตภาควิชาพลศึกษา คณะพลศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ จำนวน 18 คน ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า 1) การให้ความหมายของคำว่า อัตลักษณ์ ตามนิยามของกลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก หมายถึง 1. อ่อนโยน แต่ไม่อ่อนแอ 2. ระเบียบวินัย
3. ความซื่อสัตย์ และ 4. ให้เกียรติซึ่งกันและกัน 2) การดำรงอัตลักษณ์ของนิสิตสาขาวิชาพลศึกษา คือ การมีลักษณะทางจิตใจที่ดี เพราะมีการอบรม สั่งสอนจากครู อาจารย์ และการเล่นกีฬาเป็นประจำ จึงเป็นการหลอมรวมให้เกิดการดำรงอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นนิสิตภาควิชาพลศึกษา
