A MODEL FOR DEVELOPING ENGLISH TEACHERS AT THE PRIMARY LEVEL UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the current conditions and needs for developing English teachers at the primary education level, and 2) develop a development model for developing English teachers at the primary education level under the Educational Service Area Offices of the Office of the Basic Education Commission. The target groups studied included 1) school administrators and English teachers, totaling 540 people, and 2) 11 experts. The research instruments included 1) questionnaires and 2) assessment form. The statistics used to analyze data were 1) mean and 2) standard deviation.


The research results showed that 1) the current conditions for developing English teachers at the primary education level were overall at a high level, and the needs for developing English teachers at the primary education level were overall at a high level, and 2) the development model for English teachers at the primary education level under the Educational Service Area Offices of the Office of the Basic Education Commission that was developed had 5 components: (1) Principles, (2) Objectives , (3) Implementation methods, (4) Implementation evaluation, and (5) Success conditions. The model had overall appropriateness at a high level.
