A STUDY OF PROBLEM DESIGNING OF ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE READING THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE SCHOOL’S EDUCATIONAL ECOSYSTEM IN SCHOOL NETWORK OF VALAYA ALONGKORN RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY UNDER THE ROYAL PATRONAGE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the activities designed to promote reading that is consistent with the school educational ecosystem, 2) study the problems of activities designed to promote reading that is consistent with the school educational ecosystem, and 3) study the guidelines for activities designed to promote reading that is consistent with the school educational ecosystem. The sample of the research consisted of 370 teachers in the school network of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The sample size was determined by using Krejcie & Morgan table and multi-stage random sampling. The research tools were questionnaires. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.


The results showed that: 1) the overall activities designed to promote reading that is consistent with the school educational ecosystem were at a high level. 2) The overall problems of Activities Designed to Promote Reading that is consistent with the School Educational Ecosystem were at a moderate level. And  3) the overall guidelines for activities designed to promote reading that is consistent with the School Educational Ecosystem were as follows: 3.1) the school appoints a committee to formulate a roadmap strategy for the activities designed to promote reading, 3.2) the survey and analysis of school education ecosystem problems, 3.3) the designing of activities to promote reading, 3.4) the motivation and the rewards, 3.5) the measurement and the evaluation, 3.6) publication of reading promotion activities.
