GROWTH MINDSET DEVELOPMENT PROCESS FOR FACULTY OF EDUCATION’ STUDENTS BANSOMDEJCHAOPRAYA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

 The objectives of the research were to 1) develop growth mindset development process for students of the Faculty of Education, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, and 2) study students’ growth mindset of the Faculty of Education, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University after used growth mindset development process. The students who participated in the research were 14 students studying in Psychology Program, Faculty of Education, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University: 6 students were practicing professional experience in the first semester of the academic year 2019 and 8 students were practicing professional experience in the first semester of the academic year 2020. There were 2 main stages: 1) stage of developing growth mindset development process, and 2) stage of trying out. Research instruments were 1) growth mindset development process handbook, and 2) form of growth mindset in-depth interviews form and focus group form. Quantitative data were analyzed by using mean and standard deviation. Qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis and validated data using triangulation method.


             The research results were as following: 1) Growth mindset development process systematically developed: verified by experts experimented in 2 phases and modify it growth mindset development process consisted of 5 components: concepts, objective, development processes, roles of developers and the results. And 2) the student's growth mindset was developed at the highest level: mean = 4.45 and standard deviation = 0.21. The students who participated in the experiment clearly increased their efforts and patience.
