Abstract

The purposes of this research study were to: 1) develop a research-based learning model for teaching and learning Industrial subjects under the Vocational Education Commission and 2) evaluate a research-based learning model in the teaching and learning Industrial subjects under the Vocational Education Commission. The sample group of the study was nine experts selected using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires and used as tools for data collection in evaluating opinions on model and suitability of model in the research. Basic statistics were used to analyze the data.
The results indicated that: 1) the experts’ opinions on the model were (1) learning preparation, (2) learning management, and (3) learning achievement. In the overall, the result was found that the consistency index of the IOC was applicable and the total mean of the IOC was 0.80. 2) The opinions on the suitability of the model were very appropriate. They comprise (1) usefulness which was very suitable at the level of (gif.latex?\bar{X}= 4.89, SD = 0.26), (2) the possibility aspect which very suitable at the level of (gif.latex?\bar{X}= 4.72, SD = 0.44), (3) the suitability aspect which was suitable at the level of (gif.latex?\bar{X}= 4.47, SD = 0.50), and (4) the accuracy aspect which was suitable of the level (gif.latex?\bar{X}= 4.78, SD = 0.16). In the overall, the opinions on the model was of the highest level (gif.latex?\bar{X}= 4.66, SD = 0.36).
