A RESEARCH-BASED LEARNING MODEL FOR ENHANCING CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS OF STUDENTS ENROLLING IN EDUCATIONAL QUALITY ASSURANCE COURSE

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to develop model and study the effects of using the developed research-based learning model for enhancing critical thinking skills of students enrolling in Educational Quality Assurance course. The sample of this study was one sector of third-year undergraduate students, who were enrolling in Educational Quality Assurance course in the first semester of academic year 2020, of Faculty of Education, Suratthani Rajabhat University, umber 1 class, 30 people was obtained by selecting a specific. The research instruments included an interview form, a learning management plan, a model evaluation form, a critical thinking capability evaluation form, and a satisfaction evaluation form, the consistency index is between 0.80-1.00. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, T-test, and content analysis.
The research findings were as follows. 1) The developed model consisted of four components: (1) principles, (2) objectives, (3) procedures, and (4) assessment and evaluation methods. 2) The effects of using the model revealed that the pre- and post- treatment scores of the students were different at a statistical significance level of .01; the post- treatment score was higher than the pre- treatment score at 11.93 percent. The pre- and post- treatment scores of critical thinking capability of the students were different at a statistical significance level of .01; the post- treatment score was higher than the pre-treatment score at 28.44 percent. The students in overall were satisfied towards using the research-based learning model a high level.
