ORGANIZATIONAL SOCIAL CAPITAL AND CULTURE AND EFFECTIVENESS OF LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

        This article aimed to study the influence of organizational social capital and culture on the effectiveness of local administrative organizations. The population was consisted of all municipal and tambon administrative organizations in Thailand, while sample were 125 municipalities and 125 tambon administrative organizations and were selected by multi-stage sampling technique. The respondents including 1,250 administrators. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the inferential statistics consisted of structural equation modeling analysis using for hypothesis testing. The research result confirmed the hypothesis that the effectiveness of local administrative organizations could be predicted by organizational social capital and culture. Furthermore, the integration of the organizational social capital and culture had more effects on the effectiveness of local administrative organizations.
