THE FACTOR ANALYSIS OF MORAL COURAGE OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN NORTHEASTERN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to analyze the exploratory factor of moral courage of University Students in Northeastern Higher Education Institutions. The samples were 1,120 of 5 undergraduate year 1-4 undergraduate the academic year of 2019 Students in Northeastern Higher Education Institutions. They were chosen by multiple random sampling. The instrument used in this research was moral courage questionnaire for University Students in Northeastern Higher Education Institutions. There were 69 items with 5 rating scales by had division item between 0.212 – 0.674 and the reliabilities at 0.947. Data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis performed, using the principal component analysis with the orthogonal rotation by varimax method.
The research results was found that; there were 5 factors of moral courage of University Students; standing up for principles, recognize moral situation, moral behavior, and endurance of threats, contemplate the risks.
