Abstract

This research article was a part of the research entitled Development of Musical Experiential Model to Enhance Executive Functions for Early Childhood Students. The purpose of this research was to analyze of the components of musical experiential model to enhance executive functions for early childhood students. The samples were 7 professionals randomized by purposive sampling and 105 early childhood students who were 4-5 years old in Nonthaburi area 1 randomized by multistage random sampling. The research instruments were the in-depth structured interview form and the executive functions assessment form for early childhood students. For data analysis, this research was employed content analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.

The research findings were the Components of Musical Experiential Model to Enhance Executive Functions for Early Childhood Students. It was consisted of 5 components; 1) principle 2) objective 3) matter 4) music experience process and 5) assessing and evaluating. The test of the congruence of the empirical data with the conceptual framework showed the following results; chi-square = 0.06, p = 0.97, RMSEA = 0.00, GFI = 1.01, AGFI = 1.03, CFI = 1.00. There was 1 factor and 4 observed variables; planning and organizing, working memory, cognitive flexibility and inhibitory control. The factor loadings were 0.53, 0.44, 0.41, and 0.24, respectively.
